Payment of Utility Bills
You can pay your utility, subscription or other bills at an ATM, online at www.epay.bg or via the additional service “Electronic Utility Bills – Automatic Bill Payment”.
Text Message Notification
We recommend you use the text message notification service for transactions executed in Bulgaria or abroad. It provides additional security and information on payments made using your card.
More Secure Online Payments – 3-D Secure
3-D Secure is a service for higher security in online debit and credit card payments. When using this service, in addition to the standard details required by retailers in online payments – card number and expiration date, holder name and CVV (CVC) number – you have to enter a 3D password (combination of letters and digits) sent to your phone.
The 3-D Secure service allows you to sign up to the international card operator’s Mastercard Secure Code programmes for additional online payment security.
Which cards can use the 3-D Secure service?
Mastercard SecureCode can be used by holders of Maestro debit cards and Mastercard credit cards issued by Tokuda Bank.
How does 3-D Secure work?
Using the 3-D Secure service does not change how you have shopped until now. Before you complete the payment, you will be asked for your 3D password, which is only known to you. Only after you enter it correctly will you be able to pay with the card. This only makes your online purchases more secure when you pay at retailers signed up to Mastercard Secure Code.
Do the following for more secure payments:
First, register your card with the 3-D Secure service at a Tokuda Bank ATM or another ATM of the Bulgarian network Borica.
Then, start shopping online by visiting your favourite e-commerce websites. If the website requires that payments be made by entering a 3D code for additional security, a screen with the Mastercard SecureCode logo will appear.
- Enter your details and your card’s details.
- Enter your 3D password.
- Press the Submit button.
