In connection with the upcoming non-working Holiday days and the adoption of the euro, we are providing important and useful information regarding banking payments and operations at Tokuda Bank.
Tokuda Bank ensures a smooth transition to the Euro
A dedicated process has been established in the Bank to guarantee every Client a secure transition to the euro as the official currency effective from January 1, 2026. All key teams involved in the Bank's euro-migration will be operating at maximum capacity to ensure smooth and confident introduction of the new currency.
The technical system switchover will commence at 12:00 PM on December 30th, 2025. It is expected that between December 30th, 2025, and January 5th, 2026, access to banking services and online systems to be temporarily limited due to the technical updates.
In this regard, please take note of the following:
- Office Working Hours
On 30.12.2025 (Tuesday), all bank offices will service Clients until 12:00 PM.
Bank offices will resume Client services on 05.01.2026 (Monday) with working hours from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Internet Banking
Technical preparations for the new currency within the Bank's Internet Banking will begin on December 30th, 2025. All online services and operations are expected to be restored on January 3rd, 2026.
- ATMs
Tokuda Bank’s ATMs are currently loaded with both lev and euro. Starting January 1st, 2026, they will automatically switch to distribute euro banknotes only.
- Card Operations
A technical downtime interval is expected to begin on December 31st, 2025. Card operations are scheduled to be restored in the early hours of 2026, after which card payments will be processed only in euro.
- Execution of BGN and foreign currency transfers
BGN transfers will be executed until 12:00 PM on 30.12.2025 via BISERA6, BLINK, and RINGS. In the days before this date, the Bank will accept and process BGN transfers without changes to execution cut-off times.
Following the technical updates related to the euro changeover, the Bank would resume normal processing of euro transfers via the BISERA and TARGET payment systems.
All outgoing and incoming transfers ordered to or received by the Bank during the holiday period will be processed on the first working day with standard value dates.
